Adonis always finds wives he has unusual relationships with.

Oranzi, who many refer to as the female version of Adonis, is a fierce and overpowering huntress and warrior. She behaves more like they are associates and not mated, married, or lovers. It is not unusual for Oranzi to openly disdain Adonis as if they are enemies. They barely act like friends, but this comes from Oranzi being extremely fixed on being free and that includes not being part of a harem... She actually appreciates it however.

Mist  is a dragoness who found herself caught thoroughly by Adonis' wiles. As much as she tries to pretend she is better, she just can't say no to him. But then he rarely gives her reason to say no. So she lends her intellect and personal resources. Even as she adores Adonis, she still looks at Oranzi as a savage and a brute to be disdained. But then few harems are without some discord.

Ashatt'i has the blessing or curse, depending on your point of view, of being a virgin. There is a lot of lore surrounding this, almost none of it is true. And while a great many males want her for her virginity alone, Adonis keeps her until she ready. In many ways, Adonis is protecting the girls chastity and purity until she is truly ready and not just having her reason occasionally drowned out by her loins.
